Syracuse women’s basketball coach Quentin Hillsman has resigned.

Earlier this summer, Hillsman was accused by nine former players and 19 former staffers or managers of abuse, bullying, making threats, and unwanted physical contact which would include kissing players on their foreheads.

Hillsman was being investigated by the university due to the allegations.

Throughout the year, 11 players requested transfers from the Syracuse women’s basketball program which was the most of any Division I basketball program (men or women).

Hillsman had been on the Orange coaching staff since 2005, before taking over as head coach a year later. With a record of 319-169, he is the program’s winningest coach.
