Happy Monday, everyone. I hope everyone’s weekend went well, with our first firestorm of Olympic action from Tokyo. The United States is tied for the lead in gold medals (obviously), along with host nation Japan at 7. The USA has 14 medals overall. USA! USA! USA! And this is before Simone Biles really kicks it into high gear. Unfortunately, USA Basketball has yet to get it together and dropped its game against France this weekend, so we will just have to wait for better days. While we wait for that to happen, let’s take a look around the internet at what we might have missed over the past 48 hours. Let’s indulge in some headlines.
- Meet JD Daniels from the University of Miami.
- Britney Spears posed topless for a weekend snap, and decided to do it twice.
- The Savannah Bananas continue to entertain, with catcher Bill LeRoy of the University of North Georgia introducing himself as he walked to the plate for his at-bat in epic fashion.
- The United States may have sucked against France on Sunday, but the basketball-playing robot at halftime definitely stole the show.
- Meanwhile, here is the reaction to USA basketball’s latest embarrassing loss.
- Paige VanZant showed off her hands following a bare-knuckle fight on Friday night, and ouch, they were badly swollen.
- The Montreal Canadiens made a controversial NHL Draft selection and had everyone scratching their heads.

I decided to make an impromptu trip to the beach and have been enjoying some fresh seafood, so it’s nice to see how I can bring the taste of the see to the comfort of my own home.
