The Ultimate Fighting Championship returned to the UFC Apex on Saturday night for UFC Vegas 31.

In the main event of the night, Islam Makhachev lived up to his status as the heavy favorite with an impressive win over Thiago Moises. Makhachev controlled the fight before scoring a fourth-round submission victory via rear-naked choke.

In the co-main event, Miesha Tate made a triumphant return to the cage after a five-year layoff by scoring a third-round TKO win over Marion Reneau, who was set to retire following the event.

Following Saturday’s event, the Nevada State Athletic Commission announced the full list of medical suspensions.

Only three fighters face potential six-month layoffs, including co-main event participant Marion Reneau, who announced her retirement. Preliminary card fighters Malcolm Gordon and Alan Baudot could also be on the sidelines for a half of a year.
