For once, Florida man is in the headlines for a feel-good story.
Kenneth Morgan, 54, was going through some routing cleaning of his home when he discovered an old lottery ticket. Much to his surprise, the old piece of paper was a $1 million winning lottery ticket and he was about to cash in big.
Morgan had bought the ticket at a liquor store three months prior.
“I was cleaning the house on the Fourth of July when I found the POWERBALL ticket in a drawer,” said Morgan, according to WPTV. “I checked the numbers and discovered it was a $1 million winner. I’m still in shock!”

Not only does Morgan get a nice payday from a ticket he forgot about, but the liquor store gets a $1,000 commission for selling the winning ticket. It’s a good day for everyone involved.
And let this be a lesson to everyone: save those lottery tickets and don’t forget what you may have picked up before you downed the bottle of whisky that was your intended purchase.
