UFC 264 took place on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. When it was all said and done, Dustin Poirier had his hand raised in victory after a second consecutive win over Conor McGregor which puts the Louisiana native in line for a shot at lightweight champion Charles Oliveira.

While it was a huge win for Poirier, it was a devastating injury to McGregor that had the mixed martial arts world buzzing.

McGregor suffered a broken tibia in the opening round which ultimately led to a TKO win for Poirier via doctor’s stoppage. McGregor will undergo surgery on Sunday morning and begin his recovery, while Poirier will move forward for his shot at UFC gold.

Other big wins on the night belonged to Sean O’Malley, Irene Aldana, and Tai Tuivasa on the main card with each fighter earning impressive stoppage victories.
