We have all done some idiotic things when we were drunk, but we’re able to sleep off the embarrassment and move on with our lives.
But one man from the United Kingdom, 23-year-old Lewis Oldfield, will have to live with one of his decisions forever.
Oldfield and his pals were indulging in some ice cold adult beverages one night when their love for professional wrestling took over. As the night went on, Oldfield was dared to legally change his name to that of WWE Superstar John Cena.
Being a man of his word, Oldfield, now Cena, followed through and had his name officially changed.
“We’d had a few drinks and were play-wrestling. We were just messing around, pretending to do announcements like in WWE and one of my friends was introducing John Cena,” Oldfield to the Sun. “One thing led to another and they dared me to change my name to John Cena. I was going to get a tattoo saying it but did this instead. I always follow through with dares so I just did it. I’m not even a wrestling fan!
“My mum couldn’t stop laughing at me when she found out.”
23 year old Lewis Oldfield changed his name to John Cena after a drunken dare. Oldfield says he's not even a fan of the wrestler. He paid $55 and filled out six legal documents as required to change his name – including a passport bearing his new title for $104.

The New York Post notes Oldfield simply had to pay $55 and fill out some paperwork to make the name change official. He then went on to drop $104 for a passport with his new name.
You know what, Mr. Oldfield — sorry, Mr. Cena? We actually do see you. And we appreciate a man of his word.
