Ben Simmons had a miserable offensive performance in Game 7 as the Philadelphia 76ers were bounced from the NBA Playoffs by the Atlanta Hawks at home.
Simmons scored just 5 points on 2-of-4 shooting, but the biggest eyesore came when Simmons passed up a seemingly wide open dunk. Instead of taking the shot as the clock was winding down, Simmons kicked out the ball to Matisse Thybulle which ultimately led to a foul. From there, the 76ers got just one point from the line.
Predictably, everyone began roasting Simmons for having cold feet and the jokes began flowing.

Then you had Shaq who bluntly said he would have knocked Ben Simmons out in the locker room for his decision.

If that wasn’t bad enough, Doc Rivers couldn’t even defend Simmons and Joel Embiid said Simmons’ choice to pass was the moment the Hawks won the game. Ouch.
It’s going to be a long offseason.
