The Boston Celtics have had a busy couple of weeks.

Since being ousted from the NBA playoffs, the Celtics had a major shakeup in the front office with Brad Stevens leaving the bench for the front office while Danny Ainge decided to step down.

Now, the team is moving on from one of its star players.

On Friday morning, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN announced that the Celtics would be trading Kemba Walker to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

“The Celtics are trading Kemba Walker, the No. 16 overall pick in the 2021 draft and a 2025 second-round draft pick to Oklahoma City for Al Horford, Moses Brown and a 2023 second-round pick,” Woj wrote.

Last season, Walker averaged 19.3 points, 4.9 assists, and 4.0 rebounds per game.

With Oklahoma City’s trade, they now hold three first-round picks in the upcoming NBA Draft so there will be plenty of opportunities to continue improving the roster by surrounding Walker with talent.
