Nate Diaz is loving the new marijuana rules from the Arizona State Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts Commission.

The commission’s new rules allow fighters to smoke marijuana and will not test for THC. The only rule is that fighters must not show up to the fight high.

“Great working with AZ Commission, who are adopting our testing program/rules for this weekend,” UFC Senior VP of Athlete Health and Performance Jeff Novitzky tweeted. “Only issue with marijuana (THC) for Saturday’s fights is don’t show up impaired or under the influence. How it should be!”

To celebrate the moment, Diaz decided to spark up a joint on the stage during the pre-fight press conference on Thursday night. Diaz was smoking his own strain of marijuana, Kill_4209, according to MMAFighting.com.

Live it up, Diaz. This is why he will always be a fan favorite.

The UFC is hosting this weekend’s UFC 263 pay-per-view at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona where Diaz will take on Leon Edwards in a five-round featured bout.
