The NBA world was shocked on Wednesday morning with news that Boston Celtics general manager Danny Ainge would be stepping down while Brad Stevens would be leaving his head coaching gig for a job in the front office.
That led to the immediate speculation on who could potentially replace Stevens on the bench in Boston and a number of candidates immediately were tossed into the mix.
The trusty oddsmakers wasted no time in sharing their thoughts on who will get the gig, with Jay Larranaga, the current top assistant for the Celtics, penciled in as the favorite.
Los Angeles Lakers assistant Jason Kidd and Los Angeles Clippers assistant Chauncey Billups, two former NBA players, followed closely behind. Former Atlanta Hawks head coach Lloyd Pierce also appears to be an option.
Who else could be a candidate to replace Stevens?
