NBA fans who have been acting out since being allowed to return to arenas are going to start facing stiffer consequences for their actions.
During Monday night’s Game 4 between the Washington Wizards and Philadelphia 76ers, one fan decided to rush onto the court. After a brief sprint, the fan jumped to touch the backboard before eventually being level by security.
For his boneheaded efforts, the fan has been banned from Capital One Arena.
The Wizards released a statement saying the organization will also pursue legal charges against the individual.

This is just the latest incident from NBA fans in recent days.
Previously, a Knicks fan spit on Trae Young, Russell Wilson had popcorn thrown onto his head, and Kyrie Irving had a Boston Celtics fan launch a water bottle at him.
It’s been a while since people have been allowed outside since the pandemic, but fans need to be better.
