UFC president Dana White is threatening legal action against YouTube star-turned boxer Jake Paul and pay-per-view streaming service Triller.
White’s issue with the YouTuber and Triller comes from their continued negotiations with fighters who are under contract with the UFC, according to recent comments made to Yahoo! Sports.
The UFC boss was asked about Jake Paul potentially fighting Daniel Cormier or Tyron Woodley when he shared his thoughts.
“Why don’t you go fight a f*cking boxer? Daniel Cormier? Why don’t you go fight a f*cking boxer? What the f*ck do these guys keep talking to UFC guys for?” White told Kevin Iole.
“I might have to send another f*cking legal letter to these f*cking idiots. Yeah, go talk to a f*cking boxer. What are you doing?”
Luckily for White, it seems like Paul may be focusing on a non-UFC fighter for his next fight, with entrepreneur Joe Fournier is favored to get the fight. Tommy Fury, the half-brother of boxing champion Tyson Fury, is second on the list followed by McGregor’s training partner Dillon Danis, who is signed to Bellator.
As far as Triller’s ventures have gone, however, it has been an overwhelming success with reports that the Paul vs. Askren fight brought in more than 1.5 million pay-per-view buys.
