YouTube star Jake Paul has generated plenty of interest in his boxing venture with Triller, securing bouts with former NBA Slam Dunk champion Nate Robinson and former mixed martial arts champion Ben Askren.
Now, Triller is cashing in big.
Not only has Triller seen success in pay-per-view buys, but the promotion is also getting into the NFT game with a steep price tag.
According to TMZ Sports, Triller is giving Paul’s boxing bouts against Askren and Robinson the NFT treatment and selling the NFTs for a whopping $10 million.
An NFT, which stands for non-fungible token, is a one-of-a-kind digital item that can be verified through blockchain technology. The digital code gives proof of value and, because it is one-of-a-kind, the value can skyrocket.
Paul’s knockout of Robinson is the NFT being sold, with the winner of the auction also getting the last 30 seconds of Paul’s fight with Askren.
Is that worth $10 million to anyone out there?
