Evander Holyfield is returning to boxing.
After teasing a potential trilogy fight with Mike Tyson, ESPN.com reported on Sunday night that the boxing legend is set to return to action this summer for an exhibition boxing match on Triller.
Holyfield will be fighting on June 5 in Miami against Kevin McBride.
The 58-year-old’s return to the ring will be part of the undercard of Teofimo Lopez’s unified lightweight championship defense against George Kambosos.
Triller has been making an effort to get legends of the sport back in the cage, and Holyfield becomes the latest.
One has to wonder: is this a fight to see what kind of shape Holyfield is in and to potentially drum up further interest in the Tyson trilogy fight for later in the year? Only time will tell.
