An Illinois teacher learned the dangers of allowing students to view your social media profiles after an incident that has led to her being placed on leave.
Per the Quad-City Times, the unnamed teacher allegedly shared a homemade sex video to her Snapchat story.
That video was then seen by multiple students before the teacher was alerted of the mishap and was able to delete it from her account.
Moline High School Principal Trista Sanders contacted police about the video before placing the teacher on leave.
The teacher, meanwhile, claimed that she may have been hacked because she was unaware of what a friend was referring to when she was first alerted about the sex tape being online.
The good news for the teacher is that Assistant State’s Attorney Heidi Weller said that investigators could not find enough proof that the teacher knowingly or intentionally distributed the video.
No charges were filed.
Whether the teacher is ultimately reinstated remains to be seen.
