Florida always brings us the wildest headlines, but this one is pretty unbelievable.
According to a report from KSN News, police were transporting 23-year-old Joshua Swartwout to a local detention facility when they stopped to help out at the scene of a motorcycle crash along the way.
As police exited the car, Swartwout decided to take the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the cop car and speed away.
He managed to do all of that while he was handcuffed.
After a chase, the squad car eventually ran out of gas. Swartwout attempted to run away but was ultimately caught.
A for effort, Joshua.
