Bellator 255 took place on Friday night at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. In the main event, Bellator lightweight and featherweight champion Patricio “Pitbull” Freire put on a fantastic performance to retain his 145-pound title and punch his ticket to the Featherweight World Grand Prix Final.

Pitbull scored the big win by choking Emmanuel Sanchez unconscious in the first-round of their main event scrap.

Because of the win, Pitbull will now defend his title against undefeated star AJ McKee in the Grand Prix Final later this year.

“I am ready to fight AJ McKee right now, please just tell Showtime, I will get in the cage and we can take care of this tomorrow,” Pitbull said after the fight. “I want to be the first man to defeat McKee, he has been opening his mouth about me for a very long time, this will be the biggest fight in Bellator history.”

If you missed out on the action, we have you covered.
