Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant has been fined by the NBA.
On Friday, the league announced that the injured forward has been fined $50,000 for “offensive and derogatory language” that was used in private messages to actor and comedian Michael Rapaport.
That’s right, Durant is being fined over DMs that Rapaport decided to leak.
A simple statement from the league read, “Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant has been fined $50,000 for using offensive and derogatory language on social media, it was announced today by Byron Spruell, President, League Operations. Durant has acknowledged that his actions were inappropriate.”

Judging by the exchanges in the DMs, and the fact that Rapaport was clearly setting Durant up with the intention of leaking the DMs to make the NBA star look bad in the future, Durant would probably be willing to pay another $50,000 just to own the actor again.
Durant may be down $50,000, but Rapaport is the one who really took the L here.
