Kyle Pitts is an athletic freak. It’s very rare that a tight end is projected as a top five pick, but the former Florida Gators star provides the value as a truly generational prospect.
At Florida’s Pro Day on Wednesday, we were reminded of that when Pitts showed off his measurables we haven’t seen in two decades.
Pitts checked in with an insane wingspan of 83-inches which is longer than any wide receiver or tight end in the NFL in the last 20 years. If that wasn’t enough, he added 22 reps on the bench press, a 33.5-inch vertical, a 10-foot-9 broad jump, and a 4.44 40-yard dash.
And don’t forget, Pitts did all of that at 6-foot-5, 245-pounds.
Here’s video of Pitts running the 40.

If your team is in need of an offensive weapon, Pitts is the guy you should be hoping for.
Regardless of where you line him up, Pitts is a matchup nightmare. He is too big for any corner, and he is too fast for any linebacker. It will be interesting to see how his rare skillset is utilized at the next level.
The 2021 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 29, and runs through Saturday, May 1.
