The Utah Jazz had a bit of a scare on Tuesday afternoon thanks to a flock of birds.
According to reports, the plane was on its way to Memphis for tomorrow night’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies when the plane had to circle back minutes after takeoff due to engine troubles.
The plane had struck a flock of birds which led to the left engine shutting down, Delta officials confirmed.
“As the aircraft was taking off it hit a flock of birds. The left engine was shut down, the pilot declared an emergency in return to Salt Lake International Airport,” a statement read, via TMZ Sports.
“Aircraft landed without incident and was able to taxi back.”
No one was injured during the incident.
Brian Schnee of Fox 13 shared photos of the damage caused by the birds on social media.
Tip-off between the Grizzlies and Jazz at FedExForum on Wednesday night is set for 8:00 p.m. ET.
