Francis Ngannou was able to deliver the knockout he has been waiting for. In the UFC 260 main event at the UFC Apex on Saturday, Ngannou knocked out Stipe Miocic in the second round of their rematch to claim the UFC heavyweight championship.
Ngannou was much improved from his first meeting with Miocic and put on the most impressive all-around performance of his career to claim the title.
While Ngannou was celebrating his victory in Las Vegas, his countrymen were taking in the historic moment in his hometown of Batie, Cameroon. An incredible video on social media showed a crowd of people reacting to the moment that Ngannou won the belt at 5:15 a.m. local time.

In addition to winning the UFC heavyweight championship, Ngannou earned a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus for his efforts.
