Luka Doncic has more triple-doubles before the age of 22 by anyone in NBA history, and now he has another historic moment in NBA history.
An ultra-rare Doncic trading card was recently sold and is now the most expensive NBA card ever.
The card was one-of-a-kind and features the NBA Logoman patch from a game-worn Dallas Mavericks jersey along with Doncic’s signature. The card came from a box of 2018-2019 Panini National Treasures Basketball and was first opened in May 2019.
This weekend, the card sold for a whopping $4.6 million.
At $4.6M, that's a new record for the highest price that's ever been paid for a basketball card.
And it was pulled during a live break by @LaytonSports.

The card is the second most expensive trading card ever, just behind a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle card that sold for $5.2 million. Rounding out the top three is a 2009 Mike Trout Superfractor that sold for $2.9 million.
Who knew trading cards still carried so much value?
