Jon Jones is gearing up for his highly-anticipated move to heavyweight and he’s wasted no time bulking up for his new division.
Jones has been documenting his move to heavyweight on social media and his latest video shows the former light heavyweight champion getting in some pad work at Jackson-Winklejohn with his new frame.
According to Jones in the caption, he has bulked up to 252-pounds ahead of his heavyweight debut — which does not yet have a date.
“Felt great shaking off some cobwebs last night… 252#,” Jones wrote.
Check out the new and improved Jon Jones.
How has Jones gotten to this point? You can thank some good old-fashioned powerlifting.
How Jones carries his new frame throughout a fight remains to be seen, but it is clear he is putting in the work and preparing to make an immediate impact on the heavyweight division.
