Aljamain Sterling is one of the most exciting bantamweight fighters in mixed martial arts.
The 31-year-old from New York is the No. 1-ranked contender in the UFC and has finally earned his shot at gold after a first-round submission victory over Cory Sandhagen in a title eliminator bout in June 2020.
Sterling first joined the Ultimate Fighting Championship at UFC 170 in February 2014 with a professional record of 9-0. He had previously held the CFFC bantamweight championship.
Sterling kicked off his UFC career with four straight wins, including three finishes, before dropping two straight.
Since then, Sterling has won 7 of his last 8 on his climb to the top of the division.
