Shuttershock
Super Bowl 55 is just over a week away with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs preparing to face off for the Lombardi Trophy at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
It marks the first time in NFL history that a team will be playing in a Super Bowl in their home stadium.
While there are plenty of key matchups that will dictate how the game plays out, there is another matchup that always generates interest from fans across the country: what uniforms will be worn?
Well, now we know.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Buccaneers had the choice of which uniforms to wear as the home team — because it is the NFC’s turn to play “host” of the big game and not because it’s their actual home stadium — and they decided to go with white jerseys and pewter pants which they wore in the NFC Championship Game win over the Green Bay Packers.
The Chiefs, meanwhile, will wear their traditional red jerseys and white pants.
