We all knew that it was coming, but now it is official.
On Wednesday morning, Clemson football star Trevor Lawrence announced that he has officially declared for the 2021 NFL Draft.
Lawrence, who finished as runner-up for the Heisman Trophy, is the projected No. 1 overall pick.
Throughout his career at Clemson, the star signal-caller accounted for 9,181 passing yards, a 66.7 completion percentage, 85 touchdowns, 14 interceptions, 820 rushing yards, and 14 rushing touchdowns.
Lawrence announced his decision with a video on social media.
“I’ll look back at these three years and have the best memories,” Lawrence said. “I really feel like I’m a man now and I’m ready to take on those challenges. Just super excited for life ahead. The best is always yet to come, but I’m grateful for Clemson and I’m going to miss it.”
