Urban Meyer had great success as a college football coach.

Helping lead the Florida Gators and Ohio State Buckeyes to national championships, it comes as no surprise that he still holds memories from those stints close to his heart.

So when Meyer revealed his favorite college town, we should have expected what was about to come.

While speaking on the Urban Meyer Shares His Favorite College Town, Meyer revealed that his favorite college town is none other than Gainesville, Florida — where he coached the Gators to two national titles from 2005-2010.

“I’m very biased,” Meyer said, via 247 Sports. “and I’m going to go early September, late August in Gainesville, Florida (with that) 110 heat index.”

The Buckeyes faithful may take issue with Meyer’s stance, but when you remember just how dominant and exciting the Tim Tebow-led program was at its peak, you know that it had to have had a special atmosphere you would never forget.

And with the Gators back in the Top 10 in their third year under Urban Meyer, it looks like that atmosphere has returned once again.
