Klay Thompson will be missing another NBA season.
After going down with a lower-leg injury on Wednesday, the Golden State Warriors’ worst fears were confirmed on Thursday morning following further tests that revealed Thompson suffered a season-ending Achilles tear.
Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN was first to report the news.
Thompson had missed the 2019-20 season with a torn ACL that he suffered in the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors.

Golden State was hoping it would return to championship contention this season with Stephen Curry and Thompson both returning from injury along with the addition for No. 2 pick James Wiseman, but now they will have to overcome the loss of a major star for the second season in a row.
Even worse for the Warriors is that their championship window could be closing.
With Curry at 32, Draymond Green at 30, and Thompson suffering back-to-back season-ending injuries, we will have to wonder whether the Warriors will return to the form they once had as a dominant force in the league.
