The Pittsburgh Steelers had a COVID-19 scare this week after multiple players were placed on the COVID-19/reserve list.

After placing tight end Vance McDonald on the list Monday evening, the team gave starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and three others with the designation.

The other players include offensive lineman Jerald Hawkins, running back Jaylen Samuels, and linebacker Vince Williams.

Now, they are receiving some good news.

Despite not practicing all week, Roethlisberger is expected to suit up on Sunday afternoon against the division rival Cincinnati Bengals, according to Pro Football Talk.

The week off may have been a blessing in disguise for Roethlisberger as well. Last week, Roethlisberger banged up his knee so the extra rest could serve him well.
