Oh, Rudy… what are we going to do with you, my friend. It seems like years ago, although it was only two months ago, that the Thunder and Jazz were minutes away from tipoff and then suddenly everybody left the court without an explanation.

Then, later that night the news dropped:
BREAKING: Utah Jazz All-Star Rudy Gobert tests positive for coronavirus
— The Spectator Index (@spectatorindex) March 12, 2020
This led to the suspension of the NBA season (although it would have happened within days either way) and things just continued to go downhill for ole Rudy…
First infecting his star teammate:
Jazz star Donovan Mitchell has tested positive for the coronavirus, league sources tell ESPN. Jazz players privately say that Rudy Gobert had been careless in the locker room touching other players and their belongings. Now a Jazz teammate has tested positive.

Infecting children (allegedly)…
A child who got Rudy Gobert's autograph tested positive for coronavirus.
The student reportedly attended a Jazz and Celtics game in five days before Gobert became the first NBA players to test positive for COVID-19.https://t.co/KSEYLvheeX

Then, what might go down as the worst visual of ALL TIME:
#Basketball player Rudy Gobert touched every mic in the media room after a press conference, mocking the coronavirus. He has now been tested positive for the disease and the NBA season has been suspended.

Now, Rudy has since recovered and is trying to stay in shape for the eventual return of the NBA season and to mend relationships with his teammates and fans. Let’s see how that’s going:

Well… that doesn’t seem good. But I’m sure his fans have been able to move on! Rudy has even taken to streaming on Twitch to interact with his fans and regain their trust!

Welp, so much for that.
To be honest, I feel a little bad for Rudy. It’s entirely possible that little kid that got his autograph or one of the other Jazz players that tested positive actually gave it to Rudy and he just showed symptoms and they did not. Even if he did get it first and give it to those other people, if we’re all being honest here, nobody was really taking it that seriously in America when he possibly infected those people. He had no idea how serious it would end up being and how bad of a visual this would all be for him. I think his best option is to just go full heel and start telling everyone that crosses him to “go to school pussy.” No matter what. Kid on twitch, go to school pussy. Donovan Mitchell, go to school pussy. His coaches, go to school pussies. Doctors and scientists, go to school pussies. Become the villain that the public has made you out to be, Rudy. It’s your only hope.
