I knew it when I saw it cross Facebook last night as the kids were going to bed and it was beautiful: Instagram idiots mad at Garth Brooks for wearing a Barry Sanders jersey during a recent Detroit show. It was the perfect storm at the perfect time. And here they came! The idiots went on the attack thinking that Garth was wearing a Bernie Sanders 2020 election jersey. The Karens. The Karls. The misguided. The morons. The people who are populating this country with their stupidity. The people who sit on a computer 18 hours a day fuming instead of doing things like sweeping their floors and washing their windows.

It all came together into one beautiful moment where you just had to sit back and laugh at how many brains have been turned into Jell-O. Of course the photoshoppers and the meme crowd would jump all over this moment in time. I thought we’d see more out of the GIF experts, but so far that area of expertise has been quiet. We’ll settle for these Barry Sanders/Bernie Sanders memes and appreciate how this wild week in the history of this country ended. It’s one for the history books.
