Louisiana teacher Ella Silva is in big trouble for having sex with a 15-year-old student eight to nine times during the summer of 2019, according to the arrest document submitted out of East Baton Rouge.
The victim stated after texting the relationship became physically sexual at an unknown time before the summer of 2019. During the summer months of 2019, the Accused picked up the victim at his residence in Zachary, LA, and brought him, without parental consent to her residence.
The Victim recalled having consensual intercourse approximately 8 to 9 different times during the summer of 2019 with the accused at her residence. The victim also stated the accused’s minor child was present at her residence during each incident. During the summer of 2019, the estimated age of the accused was 34 and the age of the victim was 15.
According to the Zachary Police Department:
On 01/24/2020 the Zachary Police Department became aware of an allegation regarding the sexual abuse of a minor. An extensive joint investigation conducted by The Zachary Police Department and The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office followed. At the conclusion of this investigation, a warrant was drafted for the arrest of Northwestern Middle School teacher, Ella Silva. Probable cause was found and on 02/06/2020 Silva was arrested and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for violating LA R.S. 14:81 Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile,14:80 Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile, and 14:43.3 Oral Sexual Battery.
Detectives are requesting that parents of students who may have had contact with Silva talk to their children about their interactions with her and contact ZPD detectives at 225-654-9393 if they believe their child was victimized.
Look, the thing about these cases that I can never get over is the fact that the teachers start texting students in the first place. The cops clearly aren’t going to get involved here if they don’t have some pretty significant initial evidence there was some sexting going on. C’mon Ella, show some damn restraint. Fire up Tinder and go after some LSU guys. Has to be one that will meet you at a hotel.
