One final game at the Oakland Coliseum, one final chance for Raiders fan to get arrested to show their love for a franchise that is divorcing them and doing the unthinkable…leaving town for clean and glitzy Las Vegas. Today was the final chance for Raiders fans to prove they are hard, willing to take a charge for the franchise and think back to the days when it was about the football and being the most intimidating place to visit for opposing fans.
Of course we know that the Black Hole has been pretty sad over the last decade. The upper deck has been closed off for years. The Coliseum is dumpier than ever. And now the place closes — for football — with a disappointing 20-16 loss to the Jags after leading 16-3 at halftime.
This is an absolutely beautiful tribute to all the Raiders who’ve come and gone over the years. One final time in handcuffs. Love the passion.
