Ohio State fans who feel they’ve been slighted by ESPN over the last several years have a choice this weekend between College GameDay and Fox’s entry into the live pregame show, Big Noon Kickoff, and there’s a buzz in Columbus amongst fans about boycotting College GameDay and throwing their support behind Urban Meyer and Fox’s show. We’ve never had a situation like this where there’s a GameDay competitor in town at the same time at a school where fans perceive an SEC bias from a network.
Let’s just say ESPN’s sign police might have its hands full trying to rip down signs from Buckeye fans who look at ESPN as the reason why Urban was run out of town. If they show up at all. Buckeye fans might also add in hatred for Adam Schefter claiming “ASSAULT” on Myles Garrett and go full boycott. A few dozen fans have been using #BoycottGameDay, but it hasn’t really taken off to where Bill in Reynoldsburg is going to care Saturday morning. He wants to see Lee and Kirk.
Why didn’t ESPN go to an SEC game? It was slim pickings at a critical time of year. Cupcake week for several teams. That leaves Fox, Big Ten Network and ESPN all fighting it out for space on campus to soak up some of the last hours of live programming on a campus this season. The people in the comments over on ElevenWarriors.com seem to like the idea of boycotting GameDay.
Pregame shows live from Ohio State for Penn State game / via ElevenWarriors.comMy prediction: ESPN will still get its crowd, but let’s face it, these people would take a bullet for Urban and pay good money to eat at his Margaritaville spinoff, there will be a very big crowd at the Fox set to support their hero. Keep your eye on the signs that make it on the Fox broadcast. Something tells me Fox won’t have sign police so shoot your shot over there.
Nah we are good go somewhere else

SEC Week 13 scheduleLOL. I thought Columbus would be “too unwieldy” for Rece. Isn’t there an SEC game you could do? Oh, that’s right – it’s Chickenchit Saturday.
