Russell Westbrook has listed his modest 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath suburban Oklahoma City house for sale with an asking price of $429,500. Purchased for $383,500 in 2008 when Westbrook was a 20-year-old rookie, the house has all the updates your wife will be looking for including quartz countertops, an open floor plan and a backyard that’s ready for modest pool parties, not some scene out of Los Angeles. This is Oklahoma. Modesty.
From Russell Westbrook’s realtor:
Immaculate updated home with a cool, neutral color scheme throughout. The kitchen and bathrooms have been remodeled to include quartz countertops. The kitchen opens to the large family room with views of the pool. Entertain in the backyard with a pool with waterfall and outdoor grill and fire pit.
Now I’m not sure how Russell was using this house whether it was for family and friends to use while in OKC because, according to county tax records, Russ also owns an 8,400 sq. ft. house in town. I have to assume the big one was Russ’s main pad, not this tiny 3 bedroom joint. Whatever the case, it appears Russ’s housing days in OKC are about over. Time to unload the rookie year house that he bought when he was making $3,493,680. This guy seems to have smart people telling him how to save his money because that was a solid purchase back in the day on that kind of salary.
Mortgage: $2,500 or so a month including HOA fees. This one isn’t going to hit you too bad. It’s a piece of Oklahoma City history for the NBA buff who wants to own some former NBA real estate.
