That didn’t take long. According to Adam Schefter, ESPN is eliminating a new down and distance graphic that was so yellow that viewers thought there was a flag on every play.
The box was changed after halftime of the Texans-Saints game.
Breaking: ESPN is switching away from the new Down-And-Distance graphic it debuted in the first half of Monday Night Football. ESPN heard the fans’ feedback and acted, quick.

ESPN PR guy Bill Hofheimer was bragging about the “venom” color 2.5 minutes into the game and then ESPN pulled the plug by halftime. Such a good look.
