Florida International golfer Hannah Leiner first showed up around here back in the spring of 2018 and led to a huge 2018-19 and now she’s back for another golf season that gets rolling September 23. In the meantime, Hannah has been pumping out the content at a pretty solid pace and appears on track to cross over the 100k Instagram follower count by mid-October or so. Won’t take long.

As I have always preached about college athletes who cannot make money and maintain their collegiate eligibility, you might as well suck up as many social media followers as you possibly can before leaving school. Kayla Simmons played volleyball at Marshall and has turned her following into what appears to be a job.

Hannah, a junior communications major, has enough time to theoretically leave school with something like 200k followers, if not more. Sure, she’d still have to monetize that following, but it’s there. I’m telling you guys right now, throw Hannah on Golf Channel after Alexandra O’Laughlin leaves for bigger jobs and you have a winning situation for everyone. Hannah already has that following she can bring to the job.

As for her golf game, Hannah participated in six events last season and had a 75.9 stroke average.
