Not only is it a huge night for Clemson as they run down that hill after touching that rock as national champions, but it’s also a big night for the rookie Clemson cheerleaders making their long awaited debut after putting in all the offseason work to make the team and then get on the field.
Rookie Nicole Stanfill is an interesting case. I was studying Nicole’s IG and it looks like she’s been at Clemson for a couple years, but wasn’t on the cheerleading team. She was 3rd runner-up for Miss Clemson in 2018 and was in the stands for the blowout win over Bama back in January.
Tonight against Georgia Tech she makes her national debut on the Death Valley sidelines. No pressure at all. Nicole picked a great time to jump on the cheerleading squad. The national championship is in New Orleans. That’s going to be a wild party and all her travel will be paid for.
