Now sitting on an account with 2.2 million followers, VanZant thinks it’s time for the UFC to start paying her more and start basing financials on her star power and the eyeballs she’s going to bring to a fight night. VanZant adds that female champion pay shouldn’t be based on being female champion, it should be based on champion pay whether it’s male or female. Sounds like a USWNT vs. USMNT argument she’s raising for the UFC.
She also adds later in the interview that she’d give up all the endorsements to fight full time. So to summarize: the UFC isn’t paying enough, she makes great money away from the octagon, but if the UFC paid more she wouldn’t have a hard time quitting the IG influencer game. I get it.
