By now you know that Jim Nantz has a Pebble Beach No. 7 replica hole in his backyard at his house at Pebble Beach or whatever they call that neighborhood. You’ve seen Dan Patrick and the crew hitting balls there before the AT&T each spring, but I’m pretty sure you’ve never seen anyone drain an ace on Nantz’s No. 7.
Then Phil Mickelson stepped up today and sank an ace with the soothing Nantz voice walking us through the action. As of 2017 (it’s not exactly easy to find updated stats), Phil had five career hole-in-ones on the PGA Tour.
From dropping bombs 💣 to dropping the mic 🎤

I’d still like for someone to ask Nantz about people duffing golf balls into his house. It has to happen. I understand that Jim & his buddies are all great golfers, but there has to be a few scrubs that step up here and there. Seems like golf balls would be going through those second story windows.
As for previous hole-in-ones at Nantz’s house, Nick Faldo drained one in 2018:
