I’ve told you guys dozens of times that of course a college athlete can’t get paid while in college, but that athlete can eventually leave school with a huge social media following and the ability to walk out of that school with a degree and Instagram fit tea deals like the next day. Enter New Mexico State golfer Chantal Düringer, a new addition out of Austria for the 2019 spring season.
Chantal walks onto campus with 5,800 IG followers and has barely hit a golf ball for the Aggies. She already has the whole fitness thing going on. Seems to have IG figured out from a growth perspective and now she has an American university paying her schooling. I understand it’s not ideal to not getting paid and that’s why I suggest to all the athletes to get theirs via social media followings. Eat it up. Promote, promote, promote. One thing leads to another and you have 100k followers and you’re getting paid to play in pro-ams and do social influencer campaigns here in a couple years.
In Chantal’s case she becomes a huge star in Austria and does commercials on the down low that the NCAA never hears about. I hope so.
