How did Michael Bennett handle Sunday’s Eagles loss to the Saints in New Orleans? From what we can see after the game, Michael confronted a NBC Philadelphia cameraman who seemed to just be getting basic footage as Bennett was walking off the field. A fellow cameraman happened to be recording as Bennett approached and had words with the NBC Philadelphia employee.
It’s weird to think that a cameraman recording a player walking off the field would trigger such a response. Granted, the Eagles lost a heartbreaker, but this is no different than all the other times Bennett’s team has lost. Camera guy gets footage — hopefully, for his station, it’s of a distraught player — sends it back to the news studio so the guys in Philly can throw together 45-seconds of video and everyone moves on…nbd.
Maybe the guy was just having a bad day. You know, just going out of his way to be a jerkoff to a guy who has probably given him hours of favorable coverage over the last how many months Bennett has been with the Eagles.
While we’re at it, let’s go back to what allegedly went down at Super Bowl 51:
A Harris County grand jury Friday indicted Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Michael Bennett for the felony charge of injury of the elderly for injuring a 66-year-old paraplegic who was working at NRG Stadium to control access to the field at SuperBowl LI, prosecutors said.
On Feb 5, 2017, Bennett was a spectator and in town to watch his brother, a player for the New England Patriots. Immediately following the game, Bennett shoved his way on to the field where players were gathering to celebrate. NRG Security personnel, including the 66-year-old disabled victim, told Bennett he had to use a different entrance for field access. Instead, he pushed through them, including the elderly woman who was part of the security team.
That case was supposed to be heard January 10, but something tells me it was postponed again because the Eagles were still in the playoffs.
Ok, here is the video of #Eagles DT Michael Bennett walking off the field after #SaintsEagles playoff game confronting cameraman from CBS Philadelphia.

Derron says cameraman said nothing before Bennett approached him and could not tell what cameraman said when Bennett got in his grill. https://t.co/Coa5kC5i5L
