Packers Associate Coach Winston Moss Fires Up The Twitter Machine, Gets Fired

via Twitter
If you thought the Packers were done firing coaches, think again. Associate coach head coach Winston Moss, who has been with the Packers organization since 2006 and in the associate head coach/linebackers roll since 2007, fired up the Twitter machine on Tuesday and promptly got himself fired by Packers management.
It went something like this: Find a coach that’s going to hold Aaron Rodgers accountable.
Boom, Winston Moss was fired. Just like that. From a nice paying job and life in Green Bay that he’s known for 13 years or so to unemployed. That’s where Moss finds himself this morning after being fired Tuesday night.

Here’s the full timeline as to how things went down Tuesday:

Keep in mind that in early 2009, after a 6-10 season, Mike McCarthy went on a firing spree that resulted in five defensive coaches getting fired. Winston Moss was not one of those fired. Something tells me Winston wanted to get an early jump on house shopping wherever Mike McCarthy lands because it seems to me he’ll have a job down the line.
Seems like that gave Winston a chance here to voice his opinion as to what’s going on with the Packers and Aaron Rodgers. To his credit, Winston didn’t go deleting that first tweet. He left it all there and says he’s moving on with a clear head in all this. I predict he’ll be buying a house in Cleveland.
