The biggest golf news of the weekend might’ve been the pay-per-view disaster between Tiger and Phil, but the second biggest news had to be Dustin Johnson’s caddie, his brother Austin Johnson, locking down long-time girlfriend Samantha Maddox with the wedding of her dreams. Before you ask, no, I didn’t see a sign of Dustin & Paulina at the wedding and she didn’t post any social media from the event that I know of.
We’re still in the dark as to what’s going on with DJ & the GOAT after a tumultuous fall where there was side piece drama and a possible showdown between DJ & Brooks Koepka after a disastrous Ryder Cup.
As for Austin and Samantha, they seem to be doing just fine. The wedding looked great. DJ & Paulina’s son had some sort of wedding responsibility. Maybe a ring boy. No idea, I just see what Janet posted. What’s it like these days for a woman to marry a caddie? Not a bad life. Austin, according to Forbes, made $1.6 million in 2017. I assume the caddie wives get discounted rooms at the resorts and all that good stuff. Sounds like a decent life to me.
Samantha, a former college tennis player who showed up on the BC radar what feels like 10 years ago, promises she’ll be posting many wedding photos. Stay tuned, ladies.
