SURPRISE! The NFL Is Moving The Chiefs-Rams Game To L.A. Because Mexico's Field Is A Mess

via @scottzolak
The regular season Super Bowl between the Chiefs and Rams won’t be played in Mexico afterall thanks to a field that’s a complete mess and the NFL not wanting to subject itself to the furor that would come from the players and fans for playing on the field in Estadio Azteca.
Instead, the game will be played in Los Angeles on Monday Night Football. In a video posted at 1:39 p.m., workers can be seen (below) preparing the stadium for football, but by this afternoon the game was off and the stadium workers put in new grass and goalposts for nothing. Let’s face it, if this was 49ers-Bills, the game would’ve been played as planned. The league can’t risk a disaster here. Things are humming along and the league needs this Rams team healthy and churning along in the playoffs.
