The Illinois football team hasn’t had a winning record since going 7-6 in 2011 & the Illini got over the .500 hump thanks to a Kraft bowl win. Since then it has been a disaster, finally bottoming out (maybe?) in 2017 with a 2-10 record and going 0-9 in the Big Ten. Fast forward to this season and the team has its early two cupcake wins. Is it finally the year to jump on the tailgating bandwagon while 99% of all others have long been gone? Are you a tailgating degenerate?
Prove it by buying this 1990 Fleetwood tailgating RV in time for Penn State’s visit to Champaign here in a couple weeks. The seller wants $8,750 so he/she is clearly thinking you’ll ripoff all the Illinois logos and turn this into a family ride.
From the listing:
We’ve decided to sell “The Chief” motorhome / Illini tailgater. 52,000 miles. Runs good. Less than 1000 miles on new tires. Ready for camping or tailgating! Has a full awning. Sleeps 6. Table and couch each fold down to a full bed. 2 single beds in back. 4000 W generator. A/C. Furnace.
Look, I have seen many noon Illinois kickoffs and I can tell you those stands are going to be empty by the end of September. The team will be a mess and you’ll be regretting pouring money into a tailgating ride. That said, this is where you separate the real fans and the bandwagon fans. You jump on right now and you’re definitely not bandwagon. Give it a couple years and if things don’t get better just push this thing off a cliff.
