I hate to deliver more bad news to Cleveland Cavaliers fans this offseason, but it must be done. Sideline reporter Allie Clifton, who is also host of the “Road Trippin’ Podcast” with Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye, is reportedly leaving Fox Sports Ohio to join Spectrum SportsNet in Los Angeles.

For the non-Angelenos, Spectrum SportsNet is the official home of the Lakers, which means she will be reunited with LeBron James in La-La Land. Sam Amico reports Clifton will serve as a studio host for Spectrum:

Popular FOX Sports Ohio sideline reporter Allie Clifton is leaving to become the studio host for Spectrum SportsNet broadcasts of Los Angeles Lakers games, a source close to the hiring process told Amico Hoops.

Fox Sports Ohio confirmed Clifton’s departure to Fear The Sword:

We can confirm Allie Clifton is no longer with FOX Sports Ohio as the Cavaliers sideline reporter. While we are sad to see her go, we appreciate her contributions to our Cavs broadcasts and wish her the best in her future endeavors

Clifton was a former baller at the University of Toledo and has been the sideline reporter for the Cavs since 2012. The move from the Cavs broadcast to the Lakers obviously could not have come at a more opportune time.
