A 2011 Porsche 911 Turbo S once owned by former Boston Red Sox pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka is currently for sale on eBay for $97,000. Matsuzaka, of course, was a bust import from Japan — known for throwing the infamous GYRO BALL — who played with the Sox for six seasons before washing out with the Mets.
As for the Porsche, the seller says Daisuke was the first owner (of three) and autographed the glove box. Not exactly an autograph most people would want on their Porsche, but hey, it there. It hasn’t been involved in any accidents and has logged 28,000 miles on the road.
From the seller:
Super rare Turbo S owned by former major league pitcher Daiskue Matsuzaka, stunning color combo total 1 of 2 in this combo. It gets compliments on the ultra rare color combo and always fun to chop it up with fellow enthusiasts when they ask about the signed glovebox. Has been in my climate controlled garage all winter and while I wanted to keep the car forever I just can’t see me keeping the car without the garage space. Car stays clean and hand washed after every drive, I will fully detail before sale.
