Last month, LiAngelo Ball told Nice Kicks that playing in the Junior Basketball Association (JBA) would be a “step back” for him professionally:
Nice Kicks: In regards to your basketball career, what options would you consider as a player?
LiAngelo Ball: Right now, I’m taking it day by day. I’ll be willing to play in the G-League and get moved up from there. That’s an option. I’m not going to play in the JBA. I feel like that’s taking a step back for me. If I have to play in the G-League then that’s what it’s going to be. I’m not running away from the work.
Life has come at the least talented Ball Bro fast, because Gelo officially took that step back Monday by joining the Los Angeles Ballers. He’s due to make his big debut Thursday in the city of Ontario.

The comical press release states Gelo made the decision after seeing the “competitiveness” and “talent level” in the JBA.

Poor Gelo. The guy already tempered his expectations to the G-League level, but his ass couldn’t even get on a Summer League roster. The good news? Gelo will probably be a Laker down the line, according to him.
Gelo should expect to see maybe 5 fans playing in this joke league:
