J.R. Smith is responsible for one of the biggest brain farts in sports history. By failing to put up a shot in the closing moments of Game 1 of the Finals he both broke the back of the Cavaliers, and turned himself and LeBron James into memes. Truly an unforgettable moment, so much so that the NBA is auctioning off J.R.’s black “Statement” jersey on their website so one petty fan with way too much money can enjoy it forever.
Bidding for one of the more interesting pieces of sports memorabilia began on June 1, and has tallied 142 bids to drive the price up to $23,428:

Technically bidding should have ended an hour ago, but the NBA has a feature that allows people to extend the auction:
When indicated on a listing page, if a bid is placed during the last 5 minutes of an auction, the auction will automatically extend for an additional 5 minutes from the time of the latest bid. The auction will close once all bidding activity has stopped for a period of 5 minutes.
Update: After 145 bids, it finally sold for $23,548
